Statement
For my inspired pieces, the Art I create helps me to express the emotions I feel when being drawn to a beautiful landscape, a particular expression on a unique face, or even an interesting curve or form. I try to capture my initial reactions and recreate those feelings into the subject matter I’m exploring, as well as incorporating form, color and composition.

Regarding my commissioned pieces, my main concern & focus is to channel each client’s ultimate vision by exploring their ideas, thoughts and emotions, all the while adding my own sense of style and artistic creativity for a unique piece of art.  I work in Oil and Acrylic, my styles range from traditional  to expressionism, and more.

Biography
Born in 1957, Scott grew up in a rural setting on a small horse & cattle farm, in Jeddo Michigan.  Throughout his youth, Scott was brought up with a respect & love of horses, nature & wildlife in general, which greatly influenced his love of drawing & painting.

After attending High School, Scott followed a career in the Automotive Industry for a time, while attending art classes at St. Clair Community College. Following marriage, Scott opened his own custom painting & faux finishing business, all the while still drawing & painting for portrait commissions, gallery sales & personal fulfillment.

Recently, Scott has had the opportunity to expand his time in order to create original artwork & commissioned murals, both commercial & residential.  And as a new transplant to the beautiful state of Colorado, he looks forward to taking advantage of the miraculous vistas and Colorado's rich history.

While working one-on-one with clients, Scott's versatility, experience, and creativity allows him to see the client's ultimate vision, and draw upon his own inspirations to develop a cohesiveness with the environment & artwork he creates.
